...and boy is it speeding by.
I have midterms this week. So my head is stuck in my books while the rest of me whithers away. This semester is halfway over and I'm just getting settled in my routine. Please keep me in your prayers because this week has been stressful between my study load and work. I'm looking forward to fall although it's not like we have much for color change in LA. We had a focus from chapel of slowing; and that is so hard to do when there is so much on my plate but I make time in my mornings for daily devotionals and keeping God the focus.

From the Most Senior Krause Haus.
Hi to everybody:
I like hearing from you and know a bit of what is going on in your lives.
It is fall in Oregon and so lovely. The last two weeks have been a bit hectic with guests from Canada who were a delight to host. During that time our sister-in-law passted away in Portland and Dora came up for the funeral. My International family thinks that I should not be driving after dark on the freeway so one of the girls took Dora and I and although it was a time of sadness, it was good to see friends and family.
October brings the students back to Eugene and there are many opportunities to interact with the Internationals. I love doing that so much and also the bible study that I lead at my home Monday mornings. I have several ladies who are not believers and if you remember, do put them on your prayer list.
Life is good, and God is blessing. Love you all and take care.

Charis: you found out what life is all about: keeping busy while going to college and trying to keep up with it all. You can do it!
Jerrol & Lauren, your plans sound great and best of everything as you venture to possibly getting a different job.
My week was busy with keeping up with politics and glad when it is over. Did some registrations and it was for the Democrats. No one wants to sign up as a republican, wonder why.
Went to see the movie: The American Carol and will go see "W" when it comes out this week end.

KRAUSE HOUSE
Looks like its our turn again...
From Tim: How about a day from 9am until 7:30 p.m. trying to make a system work? Replaced the pump 3 times and the controllers 3 times. So an exercise in character building and patience. Patent has been submited. Weekly leading a small group of 8 people.
From Char: This week work filled most of the days. What does a charge nurse do all day? I like to think that I 'charge' through the day helping everyone do their job and handle problems. Since our new computer system, its seems I'm on the phone working with techical support or our local IT trying to keep it all working. One day the system was taken down for a few minutes of repair and when it came up, all of our doctor order sets disappeared and had to be reentered..that was fun. Bright spot in the week is choir practice. Singing out turns up the joy!

Hey family,
just wanted to drop a few lines to let you know what I've been up to. I've moved back up to Glendora into an apartment with 3 other females. It has been interesting getting settled and figuring out where to stand my ground over cleanliness. Most of the time, my head is stuck in my books studying like crazy. This semester I'm in OB and have seen babies being born, so exciting! Other than the birthing part, the nursing part is kinda boring with documentation and watching and waiting. I'm also taking a Theology of the Christian life class and I'm also in the Dean's leadership class. I'm still working at Claim Jumper, but also I work 1 day a week at St Jude. In between all that I try to juggle relationships, including the attention of a special man. Bible studies, church, mentoring, chapels, and everything else thats typical in life. Whew- it's by God's grace that I can handle it all! =)
