After Thanksgiving

To my children:
It will always be special for us when the family can gather to celebrate any and everything.
This Thanksgiving Eve was our first feast without Bryant and kept us talking about our upcoming visit to see him. The house was full with Grammy and Buller children. Lots of noise, music and family time.

While we spent the day quietly, we wondered what you were doing...

Charis is working!

You will notice that Charis is dreaming of the day when her nametag has her prized creditials....
very cute daughter!!!

Just a quick praise!! God is amazing in his provisions and faithfulness. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel: 2 weeks of this crazy intense semester left, yet I look back and think of all I've learned, done, seen... with fondness because working with babies has brought such a joyful dimension to all that work.

I got a 93% on my postpartum case study!!! And an "awesome Job" from my professor (who doesn't give out good grades easily, she has a reputation for only giving C's) Which is fabulous for 3 weeks of slaving away and sacrifices for my education. =p

Countdown of 16 days till I'll be in Hawaii! Wooohooo.
isn't God just wonderful!

Burn, Burn, Burn

from the Krause House:

Our afternoon gave us winds, yellow air, darkened sky and ashes everywhere. The fires are more then 15 miles away but the wind brought the smoke and burning smell right to our house so we have stayed inside all day.

We must give God thanks for daily protection and realize when it is our turn, that He will be with us in whatever we have to go through.

Last week on my bike ride as I was approaching a driveway, a truck cut me off and breaking quickly and turning my wheel kept me from colliding-while the speeds were not great to cause serious injury, it certainly reminded me how fragile our moments here can be.

22 Days until family reunion!!!

From Glendora

Hey family,
Thanks for your prayers. I turned in my 67 page postpartum case study today and my 24 page Family values paper on Tuesday, and now i can take a deep breath. The knowledge I have, I'm able to share and teach my patients and that has been a rewarding experience. Of course, working with newborns is just amazing in itself. As i've given first baths, I've prayed over these little persons and wished them an amazing God-filled life. All the experiences, in school, clinical, and work, are shaping me and teaching me more about God's nature and his deep love for humanity.

Jerrol Blogs!

This'll be a short post, I've been so busy with freelance work that I almost don't have time for fun anymore (my wife might disagree). Including by day job I've been pulling about 60-80 hours a week also on weekends which is really tough. Fortunately at the end of this project Lauren and I will have enough for a down payment on a house.

This freelance gig also has a high chance of turning into a lucrative full time job/ownership position at the agency I am working with. This would be great because they do a lot of work with Christian organizations and non profits and that's something I am really passionate about (AND I wouldn't actually have to work AT a non profit with all the low pay and bureaucracy). I would also enjoy the diversity and the opportunity to own a part of the business. It's not a done deal yet, so be praying.

MOM/CHAR

Today our church hosted a children's choir from Uganda. 13 lovely children led us in worship. The gal next to me just cried. I know it was thinking about all the children in the world that do not have moms and dads.

from Tim/Dad

One cool thing about working for yourself is the flexibility of work hours. I can pick and choose when I can play. Last Thus Mom & I went mtn biking @ Peters Canyon, cool single track, great views and 1 killer up-hill. The good thing about exercising during the week is that there isn't anyone around to see that you didn't make it up the steepest hill. That is my goal for next year.

Same stuff just a different day. Except more problems piled on the mound I already have. FYI- my phone is not working right now so best way to contact me is via email. Not sure when I'll get a new one, or get it fixed...
I'm alive, I have my health, and I'm over halfway done with this semester. =)
